El Paso operates through four primary business segments: Pipelines, Production, Field Services and Merchant Energy. The Pipelines segment owns or has interests in approximately 60,000 miles of interstate natural gas pipelines in the United States and internationally. The company's Production segment conducts its natural gas and oil exploration and production activities. The Field Services segment conducts the company's midstream activities. The Merchant Energy segment consists of three primary divisions: global power, petroleum and energy trading.
