Koch Industries owns a diverse group of companies in core industries such as trading, petroleum, asphalt, natural gas, gas liquids, chemicals, plastics and fibers, chemical technology equipment, minerals, fertilizers, ranching, securities, and finance, as well as in other ventures and investments. The company is privately-held and controlled by brothers Charles and David Koch. Although the company does not disclose financial figures, it had estimated sales of about $40 billion in 2003, according to Hoovers.com. Koch is headquartered in Wichita, Kan.
