Contribution Limits on State Party Committees

The table below shows brief summaries of the laws governing campaign money different entities—individuals, political action committees, corporations, unions and national political party committees—can contribute to state party committees. A total of 13 states allow all source to make unlimited contributions to state parties (AR, FL, GA, ID, IL, ME, MO, NE, NV, NM, OR, UT, VA). Party committees in 19 states are prohibited from accepting donations from corporations (AK, AZ, CT, IA, KY, MA, MN, MT, NH, ND, OH, OK, PA, RI, SD, TN, WV, WI, WY), while 12 states prohibit party committees from accepting donations from unions (AK, AZ, CT, NH, NC, ND, OH, PA, RI, SD, WI, WY).
